- [Instructor] In this video I want to create a doorjamb. The first thing about a doorjamb though, is you have to watch out for. It's the opening. The predefined parameter for width should actually be the rough opening. Although we cannot modify the parameters at Revit Presets in the Template, we can add a formula. Plus Revit gives enough other predefined parameters to accommodate us. So, let's jump into Revit. I'm going to open my Door-Radius Header file or I can go to Families, Open. Browse where you're keeping your exercise files. Find your door, and you are off. Width, heighth, look at that. It's going to the rough opening. When we specify width we mean the finished inside width. Not the rough opening width, so we got to change that. Under Properties let's go to Family Types. Notice we have Rough Width and Rough Height, which is good. So they give us these parameters. I want an inch and a half on…
