Modifying beam systems

- Sometimes stuff just gets in the way. Such as, annoying elevator shafts. The objective of this video is to go over to the bay that has our elevator shaft and rearrange our beams to frame around the CMU walls. To get started, let's jump in to Revit, let's go down to Level 2 Structural Plans in our structural model. Let's zoom in on the elevator shaft. First thing I want to do is draw a couple beams here and here. I'm gonna right click on this beam and I'm gonna create similar. I'm gonna come over to this beam I'm gonna go up 200 millimeters north of the outside face of the CMU wall. I'm gonna pick that point and come straight over and it frames itself in. Hit escape once, do the same on the bottom. 200 millimeters down, pick a point, and come straight across. To make it easier to work, I'm gonna get rid of this tag completely. And I'm gonna select this new tag, and I'm gonna move it into my elevator shaft, same with this one. Now we want to modify these beams. The problem is we can't…
