Modeling roofs
- [Instructor] Ceilings, floors, roofs, really it's all the same when it comes to modeling these elements in Revit. In this video, I'd like to create a roof and pitch the installation to roof drains. In Revit, under Models, let's go Open. I'm going to browse the 0209, click Open. In the project browser, let's go up to the roof level. Now, let's add a roof. On the Architecture tab let's click the Roof button. Basic Roof Generic 12, that's good to start with, click Edit Type. Let's click Duplicate. Let's call it Tapered Installation. Let's click Okay. For the structure, let's click Edit. Now, for the actual structural, we'll make that concrete. So, let's grab our little Browse button, type in conc. We'll go with lightweight concrete, click Okay. For the thickness, we'll keep that at six inches. Now, let's click on number one for core boundary. Let's click Insert. For the function, let's call this a substrate. For…
