Mechanical: Add and modify air terminals
- [Voiceover] In this video what I'd like to do is add some Diffusers, or better known as Air Terminals. Under Projects let's go Open, browse where you're keeping your Exercise Files, and I'm going to open my Air Terminals model that's already set up. I'm going to click Open. Now what I'm going to do is in my Project Browser under HVAC I'm going to go down to 1 - Ceiling Mech under Ceiling Plans. I'm going to zoom in on this area over here. I'm going to go to my Systems tab, and I'm going to click on Air Terminal right here. I don't really care for any of the ones that are loaded into the default project, so I'm going to go get one. I'm going to click on Load Family, I'm going to scroll down until I find Mechanical, I'm going to go MEP, I'm going to go to Air-Side Components, I'm going to go down to Air Terminals, I'm going to scroll down until I find Supply Diffuser - Rectangular Face Round Neck. I don't want to use the Hosted one, I'm going to click Open. Now what I'm going to do is place it into one of my ceiling grids, but as you can see, you cannot see it, because this is hosted to the Level, and right now it's going to go on the floor. If we give it an Offset of 8 feet, now we can see it. Instead of the 12x12, 6 inch neck, I'm going to click the drop down here, and I'm going to go 24x24 - 6 Neck. Again, let's give it an Offset of 8 feet. It's hard to place it exactly into the grid, so what I like to do is I'm just going to place it right here, I'm going to hit Escape. I'm going to select my Diffuser, I'm going to click the Move button, I'm going to move it down, and I'm going to click the Move again, and I'm going to move it over once. I'm going to hit Escape a few times. Now I'm going to select my Diffuser. I don't really care for those arrows, so under Mechanical I'm going to turn off all of my arrows and hit Apply. While I'm at it for my Flow I want to reduce that to 250 CFM. Now I'm going to hit Escape a couple times. I'm going to select my Diffuser, now I'm going to click Copy. I'm going to pick this end point here, I'm going to copy it down here, I'm going to select this diffuser here, I'm going to click Copy, I'm going to pick this end point here, and I'm going to copy it down to this room, I'm going to put it right here. Now I'm going to hit Escape a few times. I'm just going to put three Diffusers in here for now, then we can see how to duct them up.
