Make a callout from the model
that you'll run across in Revit is what I like to refer to as a hybrid detail. So what I mean by hybrid is it contains both parts of the model and 2D detailing that's been placed on top. So you're going to create a detail like that when you will gain some benefit from seeing a portion of the building model, the live building model, and then you're simply using the 2D detailing and call out the things that are much larger scale that would be inefficient to create in your model. So I usually like to recommend You know, sort of a rule of thumb cutoff. And for me in imperial files, that's usually about quarter inch to half inch equals a foot. Anything that would show at those scales or smaller I want to build into my model because those elements will show in all views. And so that will certainly have a big advantage For the larger scale views where we start getting to three quarter inch equals a foot or three inches to a foot, then we're going to want to rely more on 2D detailing because…
