- In this movie, we're going to talk about lineweights. Lineweights can be one of those issues that can drum up a little bit of debate among your firm. One of the things that you want to do here is make sure that you have a clear understanding of the way that lineweights work in Revit before you embark on the discussion with the broader project team. The reason I mentioned that is because many of us are coming from a CAD background. Perhaps you used AutoCAD or some other CAD program before going to Revit. I want to say, I want to start off right from the beginning by saying that lineweights in Revit do not function exactly the same way that they do in CAD. It's a mistake to try and use CAD as a way of judging the way the lineweights in Revit ought to behave.
