Light fixture overview

- [Instructor] There are a variety of ways to see the properties of a light fixture. One way would be to select on the light fixture, such as this table lamp, and then look for its properties, either underneath it's Instance properties, or by selecting on Edit Type and finding all of its Type properties, which might include the materials that the light fixture is made out of, the wattage of the light fixture, as well as the color that that light fixture produces. But all of this information actually comes from the light fixture family itself. So the best spot to see how a light fixture is put together, and the properties that it contains, is actually inside of the light fixture family. I'm going to click on OK to this dialogue box, then with this light selected, I'll click on the Edit Family button on the ribbon. Here inside of Edit Family, we can see the light fixture, we can see the different mass objects that were used to create the overall look of the light fixture, and we can see…
