- [Instructor] Let's look now how to join element in Revit and their impact on material, volume and area. Here we have floors and wall, just default one, and as you can see, wall are overlapping on the floor. So let's see how that will impact wall scheduling or even though concrete material. If I go on a section, we have here our wall overlapping our floor and of course, as there are overlapping, material will be doubled at this intersection. So there's three way to solve this issue. First, I can select my wall and choose to Attach Top/Base. So select the function, select the floor and the wall will be attached to the floor. Of course, here automatically you will have the height of the wall. A second way of doing it is by joining those two elements so for that, we're going to Modify tab, Geometry and Join.
