The Import Instance panel
- [Instructor] So, we're staying in our 04_Simple Building Project.rvt file. We've got our linked CAD file all setup and what we've done is we've moved the elevation markers to suit. We did all that in the previous video. Now, don't forget you can go to Manage Links in the Insert tab there on the Revit ribbon and, if you go to CAD Formats, you can see there that our dwg, our ground floor plan, is loaded into our Revit model. I'll just cancel the Manage Links dialog box now. Now, as I showed you in the previous video, you can just hover over your linked CAD file or your imported CAD file and click on it. As you can see, it goes that blue color and as soon as you do that you get a contextual tab up there on the ribbon. It is a Modify tab and it's Modify 00_GND Floor Plan.dwg. What it does is it brings up this Import Instance panel. Now, there's lots of different settings here. Now, you'll notice that I can delete layers.
