- [Instructor] We have provided exercise files to accompany this course. Previously we have also provided two entirely separate versions of the course in different units of measure, one in Imperial units and one in metric. For Revit 2021, we have merged the two courses into a single course and instead address both measuring systems throughout, so let me explain how this will look to you while taking the course. Regardless of your preference of units, this is the course to watch, but we are still providing two complete sets of exercise files, one in Imperial and one in metric. You can choose to download the exercise files in your preference of units. The files will be named exactly the same except that the metric files will be pre-fixed with the letter m. In most videos, I will be working in the file that's in Imperial units on screen. However, when it becomes necessary to indicate a specific numerical value, I will audibly mention the required value first in Imperial and then again in metric. For example, I might say, let's place this new column line here at eight inches off of the wall. If you're working in metric units, that's 200 millimeters. In some cases, this will be accompanied by a visual cue on screen as well, showing the metric values required. We feel that this new approach will provide a better learning experience by focusing on the required Revit skills and diminishing the specific numeric and unit values wherever possible.
