Foundation slabs
- Sometimes we're going to have a foundation that is massive, such as the type that support an elevator shaft. In this video, we're going to be adding a foundation slab to the bottom of our elevator. We will then cut a hole in it for our sump. To get started we will jump into Revit. Let's go down to type of footing. Let's scroll down to our elevator area. Let's go to the structure tab. Let's go ahead and click on slab. On our draw panel, let's pick walls but our offset wants to be 254 millimeters. I'm going to hover over one of my walls, hit tab, and pick it, let's hit escape a couple of times. Now we're going to put a little sump pit right here. This time I'm going to use my pick lines button and i'm going to type in 610 for my offset. I'm going to offset this wall in and this wall down. Hit escape a couple of times, let's click pick lines. I'm just going to pick this wall here and this wall here. I'm going to type "tr" for trim, select this line and this line this line and this…
