- [Narrator] Best part about Revit is the fact that a bunch of people can be in one model at the same time. Some people say the worst part about Revit is the fact that a bunch of people can be in one model at the same time. What I want to do is show you how to be in one model at the same time, that's called file sharing. So, let me explain it to you a little bit. What happens is, when we have a file shared environment, that means we're setting up Revit so multiple users can access the same model. That model is called a central model. That model is going to be on your server. When you come in as a user, you're going to go into Revit and select file, open, and you're going to browse for the central model that's on your server. You're going to select that model, but Revit's going to have a button that says create local.
