- When configuring an office standard template file, it is common to want to establish a good location for the origin point within the file. The reality is that the location of 00 is not really all that important to the work you do in Revit. Revit doesn't really care where the origin is however most users do care where the origin is so in this movie we'll take a look at Revit's various origin points. Now I'm in a file called origin and the geometry and other items that you see on screen were configured in the Revit templates annotation course here at the lynda.com library. Let's consider where the origin points are in this file. Revit actually has not one, not two but three distinct origin points that we can work with and configure.
