Exploding and cleaning up a CAD file

Exploding and cleaning up a CAD file

- [Voiceover] In this movie, I want to show you a neat little trick you can do when building family content. We can actually bring in 3D geometry from other sources, other CAD programs, and we can actually explode it. Now when you explode it, it will actually turn into live Revit geometry. So generally speaking, it's been considered sort of not best practice to import CAD geometry into family content in the past, but using this feature, you can actually create a nice bridge between that 3D geometry that you might have from other sources in your Revit content library. So I'm going to create a new family. I'm going to create this one from scratch. I'm going to use the default furniture template.
