Automatic wiring is the bomb! Since we have circuits created, Revit will allow us to add automatic wiring to out model. This video will show you how to tab onto a device that is part of a system, we can then select the wiring configuration and physically add the wires to our project. Then we will go back and adjust the home runs that get kind of screwy!
- [Narrator] Now that we can add wiring…from device to device,…let's look at how to wire up an entire system…all in one shot.…Under Projects, let's go Open.…Let's open up our AutoWiring model, and let's click Open.…I'm gonna go down to one, Power, Power Plan.…Not a huge fan of those lights,…so I'm gonna turn them off.…I'm gonna go v-g,…an I'm gonna scroll to Lighting Fixtures,…and I wanna get those outta there.…
Click Apply.…Click OK.…Now, what I wanna do is…I wanna wire up everything here in one shot,…so I'm gonna hover over any device I have on a system.…Hover over it, and then hit your tab key.…And what you'll see when you do that…is you get a temporary wiring layout.…Once you see that, go ahead and select it.…Now, you can either click on Arc Wire up here,…or Chamfered Wire.…I notice that we have an Arc Wire…and a Chamfered Wire icon right here,…so I'm gonna click on the Arc Wire,…and it's gonna wire that up.…
It makes the home run kinda screwy,…so I'm gonna select my home run,…and I'm gonna pull it back in a little bit.…
