- [Narrator] So in this chapter we're going to go to a slightly more complex molding profile. This is a cyma profile. Now, unlike the previous example in the previous chapter where we just used one arc curve, we only had one curve to worry about, here we're going to have two. So we're trying to create two arcs that touch one another at a tangent point and we need to find the center points at both of those arcs this time. So I'm going to focus on the cyma but you can see here that a cyma reverser just flips the arcs and you're welcome to try that one as a challenge exercise on your own when we're finished. It would use essentially the same strategy. Okay, so let's start with what we know. We're going to get the X and the Y again. Okay so how wide is the molding, how deep is the molding? Okay, and once we have that information we can begin breaking it down and trying to figure out how we're going to calculate that and locate those center points.
