Cutting families with voids when loaded

- [Instructor] In this video I want to show you how you can use one family to actually cut through another family. Now, not strictly a visibility setting but you can see that it's somewhat related, particularly when we consider the 3D view here that I have open on screen and you notice that the sink is not actually cutting through the countertop. Now, it looks fine in the floor plan and it won't be an issue in elevations or other views but if you're going to be showing 3D views of geometry like this then you might want to take advantage of this feature. The feature that we're going to look at we're going to actually make the modification in the sink family so I'm going to select this sink and then I will choose Edit Family. So, when that opens up you can see the 3D geometry of that sink and obviously it's got the sink bowl now visible because there's no countertop in the way.
