Creating a sweep
- [Instructor] So, now we can create a counter using a custom in-place family. So by creating a sweep along the weird walls, we can define the path of our counter. We can also set other parameters, just like in a real family. So in this video, we'll create some sweeps, then create some voids to terminate the ends. In Revit, I'm going to go to Open. I'm going to find my Floor Plan_Sweeps or of course, any model you're in is fine. Click Open. Now, remember, we have this reference plan, counter height. We've made it a little different, so people are not confused as to what this is doing. Our three-foot dimension is tied into a global parameter, which we can see right here. Let's go to level one floor plan. I want the counter to sweep along that wall over here, down into here. No problem. To do that for Component, let's click the drop-down and let's go Model in Place.
