Creating slab depressions

- Let's talk about slab depressions. Now I'm not saying the slabs are sad or anything, but sometimes we need to take a block of concrete out of our slab for items such as floormats and framing that is notched into a wall or something. The objective of this video is to create an in place family which will actually be a void mask. We will then cut the mask into the slab and to the thickened slab edge. To get started let's jump down to level one in our structural plans. I'm gonna zoom in on this area right here. I'm gonna go to my Structure tab. I'm gonna go to Component. Then I'm gonna go to Model in Place. I'm gonna scroll down 'til I find floors. I'm gonna call it Slab Depression 1. Then I'm gonna hit OK. Next thing I'm gonna do is create a void form. So I'm gonna click the dropdown. I'm gonna select Void Extrusion. For my depth I'm gonna go down 102. For my offset I'm gonna go 610. Now on my draw panel I'm gonna click on Pick Lines.
