Creating a pier and footing tags

- Revit comes with a few tags but they are almost always useless. The objective of this video is to tag a pier and a footing with an existing tag. We will then modify those tags to read the type mark of each element. Let's get started by jumping in our structural model. Let's go down to Top of Footing under Structural Plans in the Project Browser. I'm going to zoom in over here to this pier and footing. On the quick access toolbar I'm going to click on the Tag by Category button. I'm going to uncheck Leader and I'm going to select this pier. Now I'm going to hit escape a couple of times. I'm going to select the column tag, and I'm going to click on Edit Family. Now I'm going to select this label and I'm going to rotate it back to its original position. I'm going to click Rotate. My center of rotation, I'm going to place it right about here. I'm going to go to 45 degrees here. I'm going to come back down to horizontal. Now I'm going to edit the label. Click Edit Label.
