- Okay so let's get started creating a new parametric model family. Now I just want to remind you of the approach that we're going to take to doing this, and what some of the steps were that are involved. And I want to focus on this first step right now which is deciding what we need. That was our first step here, you want to think about what kind of family you're creating, what behaviors you want it to have, and so to remind you of what our goal is here, we're going to create this cantilever side table here, and what I did was I just sort of printed out that image and threw some notes on top of it. So I started thinking about what behaviors I want this family to have. So I think obviously it should have some dimensions for the depth, width, and height, and so we're going to make those flexible parameters. I also want to be able to control the thickness of the tabletop and what I'm calling the bar size. So the frame…
