Creating a key schedule

- [Instructor] In this video I want to talk about some strategies to help speed up data entry. What I'm looking at here is a schedule of all the rooms in my condominium building. So the building is three stories tall, and if I scroll through here you can see that on level 1 I have 34 rooms, and scroll down a little bit further I've got 67 rooms there on level 2, and another 67 rooms on level 3 for a total of 168 rooms across the entire building. Now this is just a three-story building, and you can imagine that in a bigger project we would have potentially hundreds more rooms. Now what I want to do is fill in the floor finish, base finish, wall, and ceiling finish for all of these different spaces. And as you can imagine, if I had to do that individually and manually for every one of those fields, I would be here for quite some time. So we're going to look at some techniques to help speed that up. And one of the techniques we're going to use is something called a key schedule. So let's…
