Creating a key schedule
- In this video, we're going to talk about a key schedule. Now a key schedule is a special kind of schedule that helps you speed up data input. Now to work with a key schedule, I first need to kind of frame the problem for you. So I'm in a three-story condominium building and I've got a room finished schedule here and you can see that I've got level one and if I scroll down, level one has 36 rooms. If I scroll down a little further, level two has 68 rooms. Level three also has 68 rooms and a grand total of 172 for the entire building. Now 172 isn't that many rooms, but it's still a lot more than I'd want to fill in manually when you consider that each and every one of those rooms needs a floor finish, a base finish, a wall finish and a ceiling finish.
