Creating groups
- [Narrator] In this video I want to talk about creating a group. A group is just a collection of elements that you've selected together, turned into a group and given a name to. And the purpose of a group is that you can create multiple instances of that group throughout your project and then if you edit any one of the instances the change will propagate to all of the others. So it becomes a great way to manage any repetitive design condition, such as this two-bedroom apartment unit that I have right here. So I have this one unit and now what I'm going to do is make a group out of it. Then this way if I use the same apartment unit throughout a larger building, if we need to make a change to any one of those instances, that change will immediately show up in all the others and it becomes a very efficient way for us to manage that sort of change situation. So let's go ahead and create a group from this two-bedroom condo unit. What I'm going to do is make a crossing selection, like so…
