Creating extrusion roofs
- [Instructor] In this video, we're going to create a Roof by Extrusion. Now, this is an alternative way to create roofs from the Roof by Footprint that allows us to create some more freeform or organic shapes that would be a little bit difficult to create with the footprint roof. So what I'd like to do is create a little freeform canopy over this doorway here on this end of the building. So I think the easiest way to do that is going to be to open up the elevation that looks right at that wall. So that's going to be the east elevation and then I'll just sort of zoom in on the wall where I want to build that roof. So now I'll come up here on the Architecture tab and the default button is Roof by Footprint. So to get to Roof by Extrusion, you need to use the drop-down menu and then there's Roof by Extrusion right there.
