Creating door molding sweeps
- [Narrator] In this video, we're going to add the casings around our custom door family and we're going to use the molding profiles that we've pre-configured for that purpose. So in the file that I'm working in, I'm actually going to work in 3D, and I'll just kind of have the plan view open for reference off to the side. Now the first thing I want to do, is kind of get this door panel out of the way. So I'm just going to select that and go to the sunglasses and choose Hide Element. That'll give me a nice clean look at the opening and I won't accidentally reference any of my geometry to the door panel in that way. So one of the things you could do with sweeps is we've already seen you can sketch their paths, but a really powerful feature of sweeps, is you can actually pick their paths from 3D geometry. So that's what we're going to do here. So I'm going to go to Create, click Sweep and then use the Pick Path option. This allows you to pick a path from the 3D geometry. So notice that I…
