Creating a detail callout
- [Instructor] In this video, I want to talk about creating a construction detail. There's a lot of things that we can build directly into the model, and we can create a lot of views of the various parts of the model, but sometimes we get to a level of detail where there's a diminished return between creating things directly in the model and what benefit they actually give us. So I'm talking about small scale construction elements like bolts and screws and flashing and fasteners and a variety of those kinds of things that really we don't have any business building into our model. It would take a lot of effort to create them and they wouldn't display well in most scales, and in most places we would want to see them anyway. So in such situations we're going to use two dimensional elements layered right on top of the 3D view.
