Creating column offsets
- Just because we used a grid to basically lock in our columns, it doesn't mean we can't move a few columns around here and there. The objective of this video is to select a couple columns and move them. We will then go back and examine the properties of the column to see how Revit displays the offset in the properties. To get started, let's jump into Revit. Open up your structural model, and let's go down to Level 1, Structural Plans. The first thing I'd like to do is turn on our underlay again. I wanna see what's going on in this intersection. In the project browser, let's scroll down until we find Revit Links, Architectural. Let's right click on that, and let's just click on Reload. What I'm gonna do is pick a window around these columns and I'm gonna pick the Move button. On the Options toolbar, I like to keep Constrain turned on. That's like having Ortho turned on in AutoCAD. I'm gonna zoom in here, and I'm gonna pick a spot like right here, and I'm gonna go in this direction…
