Creating blends
- Blends work well when you New Diffuse two different types of geometry together. If you have a shape with a rectangle on one side and a circle on the other, this type of extrusion is wonderful. Okay. So, let's create a blend. I want to do it by creating a new family. So, let's go to Families, New, and then I'm going to scroll down to my favorite Generic Model. Now, the first thing that I'm going to do is create a base. So, I'm going to go ahead and right-click on this Reference Plane, and I'm going to Create Similar. Now, I'm going to create my Reference Planes. So, I'm going to Offset one foot. I'm going to go to the left. Then, go to the right. Then, I'm going to go up. Then, down. I'm going to hit Escape a few times. I'm going to equally dimension them. So, I'm going to go Aligned Dimension. Then, I'm going to add these dimensions here, equally constrain them. Add these dimensions here, equally constrain them. Now, I'm going to put my overall dimensions in. I'm going to hit…
