Creating an area plan and setting the level

- [Instructor] We're starting another chapter now in our course and what we're going to look at now is creating an area plan. Now I know up till now we've been using the area plan in the project browser that's already linked to the FLS plans in the sheets here. So what we're going to do, we're going to create an area plan that isn't gross building but is rentable area, the other area setting available to you in Revit. Now in order to this we need to go up to the view tab in the ribbon, and we come down here on plan views in the create panel and you can see that we've got area plan. Now the benefit you've got is you can select which type of area you want the plan to be. So we're going to go for rentable like so. Now rentable area is in essence the area that you might use if you were a landlord and you were renting out space to a company to use as office space. You would say the rentable area is this much, let's say 1,000 square feet, and I'm going to charge you x number of dollars per…
