Creating a CMU elevator shaft

- Since elevator shafts are a structural item, it's good to address them. The objective of this video is to add a 203 millimeter CMU wall that extends from the first floor to the roof. Then we'll add a 203 millimeter foundation wall that goes from the first floor to the top of footing. To get started, let's jump into our model. Let's go down to Level 1 under Structural Plans. Let's zoom in on this area here. This is the bay I want to pick on. Let's go to our Structure tab, let's go to the Wall icon, let's click the drop down, let's grab Generic 225 millimeter Masonry. Let's click on Edit Type, let's Duplicate, and let's call it 203 millimeter. Let's click Okay. Under Structure, let's click on Edit. For the Material, let's change this, we'll keep it CMU, but under Cut Pattern in the Pattern category, click the None button. Let's scroll down until we find Masonry Concrete Block. Let's click Okay. And let's click Okay. Let's change the Thickness to 203, and let's click Okay. Let's click…
