Create a new ovolo profile
- [Instructor] In this video we're going to take the strategy that we outlined in the previous video and build the profile family that's, build the start of the profile family that's required to create our ovolo curve. So let's get started by creating a brand new family from the built-in template. So I'm going to come over here under Families and click New, can also get there from the File menu. That should bring you to your standard folder full of templates that were installed with your software. And if you scroll down you'll find several Profile templates. The one that we're going to use is just the basic Profile, it shouldn't say hosted or mullion or rail, those are all special case profiles. We're going to just the standard Profile template here and click Open. Now that'll create an empty file and the reason I wanted to build it from scratch is just to kind of emphasize that a profile is a special kind of family, this is just a 2D family.
