Create a new family type

- [Wing] As I mentioned before, a single family that we insert into a model can have many types of that family. This way it allows us to not have different size families like we would have blocks in AutoCAD. Basically, we have one family with several different types. For example, let's jump into Revit and under Projects, let's just go New. We can use Mechanical Template and let's click OK. I'm going to go to my Systems tab and I'm going to grab some Mechanical Equipment. I'm going to come to my type selector drop-down and we notice that we have the components, then we have something underneath them. So the component is the file or the family that we insert, and the items underneath them are the types of family that we have. So what I want to do is I want to grab a Boiler Standard. Pretty blank. I'm going to zoom in on my boiler, I'm just going to put a point right here. So now I'm going to select my equipment, and what I'd like to do is just come up here and click on Edit Family. Now,…
