Create exterior elevations
the first thing that you need to do And then select on the Elevation button. this symbol will always try the point toward whatever it thinks is the closest wall. But, if you move it away from the building, notice how it's no longer pointing toward the building. Now if you run into a situation where you need to have your elevation symbol there's a couple of different ways that you can clean that up. One way is to just click in order to place the elevation symbol, zoom in, click on this shape. Now I'm being kind of generic when I'm saying this shape, because it could be a square, it could be a circle, And then you could click on the checkbox That would automatically create that elevation. And then you could clear the checkbox over here that wasn't pointing toward the building. Or alternately you can window around, then come over here, and then select on Rotate. By the way, I windowed around by just left clicking, holding my mouse button down, and then coming over here and then letting…
