Coping

- To frame one beam into another beam, you need to cope around the flanges. There are two ways to do this. One is the traditional coping command, the other is by creating an opening at the end. We'll look at both. To get started, I'm going to jump into my structural model. I'm going to find my Enlarge Framing section under my Sections in my Project Browser. I'm going to zoom into this condition here. To frame this into here, we're going to go ahead and select this beam. Because it's part of a beam system, we need to unpin it. Now that it's unpinned, I'm going to click on this grip, and I'm going to stretch it all the way into the center line of this beam here. Now, I'm going to go to my Modify tab, and I'm going to click on the Cope button. If we look down in the lower left-hand corner, you'll see that Revit kind of gives a sort of a command prompt.
