Configuring room and area settings

- Revit can quantify the area and volume of your building model. There are a few options that are user-configurable in this regard. In this movie we'll look at the settings that pertain to rooms and areas, and allow us to customize the way they behave. I'm in a file called Other Settings and the first thing I'd like to look at is area and volume computation settings. So on the Architecture tab, on the Room and Area panel, you'll notice that the Room and Area panel is expandable. And if you click that, you'll see the two things we're going to talk about here. Color Schemes and Area and Volume Computations. So I'm going to start with the Area and Volume Computations, click that and that will open up a dialog. Now the choices here are actually fairly simple. Let's just run through them real quickly here. The first one is do you want Revit to calculate volumes or not.
