Changing truss materials
- The W Flan shapes these trusses are using aren't really doing it for me. I want to change these to a lumber truss. By loading some nominal sized lumber we can go into to truss settings and force the truss to actually look better. Let's do it. So let's go to a 3D view in our trusses model. Let's hold down our shift key and our wheel button, and pan around and take a look at these things. Not great, I don't like the W shape. So let's load some dimensional lumber. Let's go to the insert tab, now let's go to load family. Let's scroll down till we find structural framing. Let's go to wood, let's go to M_DimensionLumber. Let's widen the type category, let's grab 64x235. Let's click okay, now let's grab one of our trusses. Now let's click on edit type. Now let's start to go through, so our structural framing type instead of set framing type, hit the drop down and let's grab M_DimensionLumber64x235. Let's do that for everything. Try not to miss any.
