Changing the base offset of the CAD drawing

- [Instructor] Once again, we're staying in the 08 underscore Simple Building Project.rvt file and it's got our linked CAD file, our 08 ground floor plan in there as well, our .dwg file. Now, in previous videos in this chapter, we looked at the properties and the type selector and editing the type. There's a really, really nice little numerical value that you can play around with, with your CAD files, your linked CAD files. Select your linked CAD file in the drawing area, in the ground floor plan. Now, when you go and look at the properties, the base level at the moment is 00 ground, over here. So that's there, like so but you can change the value of the base offset. Now, it may be that your CAD drawing wasn't drawn to represent the actual 00 at ground-floor level. Quite often and more often than not a 2D, flat, CAD drawing often represents a height above ground-level of say, 800 millimeters.
