Applying a custom mullion to a curtain wall
- Once you have a custom mullion loaded into your model, we can then apply it to our wall. There are some steps we need to take first though. This is a two step process. The first step is to find a pre-existing mullion family in our project, by searching through the project browser. Create a new family and add our custom profile to that family. Then we'll need to configure it within our curtain wall. So, to get started lets jump into our curtain wall project. The first thing we wanna do is jump define a new mullion. Let's go to our Project Browser and let's scroll down 'til we find Curtain Wall Mullions. Now let's find Rectangular Mullion. Let's start off with a one inch square. Double click on it. Let's duplicate it. For the name let's call it: Custom Mullion and let's hit OK. For the profile, let's click the drop down, let's grab: Custom Mullion : Custom Mullion. We'll leave it Perpendicular to the Face we won't make it a Corner Mullion, Material, we'll keep it Aluminum. Let's click…
