- [Instructor] In this video, we're going to learn how to annotate our 3D view. While we do not have all the annotative capabilities of a two-dimensional view, we still have quite a few. For this video, we're going to look at some of the differences between annotating three-dimensionally and two-dimensionally, while adding text to our 3D view. Let's get started. Open the 04_03 exercise file. If you check your project browser, you should be in the 3D view 04_03 exploded isometric. To add annotations to a 3D view, you have to save the orientation and lock the view so that the annotations are fixed in place. To do that, from the graphics control bar, select the house with the lock symbol, select Save Orientation and Lock View. Now if we try to orbit, you can see we have the no symbol and we cannot orbit and change the orientation of our view. If you click the navigation wheel, you can see we do have some capabilities.
