Adjusting the view range of linked files

Adjusting the view range of linked files: Revit: View Range
Adjusting the view range of linked files: Revit: View Range

When you have a linked file, it sometimes comes in at a different height than the host file, making the host view range settings unpractical for displaying the link. You can use a plan region to customize, or by editing the visibility/graphic overrides of the plan view you can click the Linked Files tab and set the view to display a plan from the link file instead of using the host. There are many other customizations available for linked files on that same tab that allow for changes to nearly any visibility setting.
