Adding wall footings
- [Voiceover] The walls need something to bear on. This is where bearing footings come in handy. Revit actually likes to call them wall footings which, by looking at the button, makes you kind of think you're actually adding a wall, but that's not the case. You're adding a strip footing that is hosted to a foundation wall. Let's go to our structure tab. Now, under the foundation panel, we have three choices. Let's go with wall. Now what I'd like to do is click on edit type, and here I want to click on duplicate. And this bearing footing is going to be two foot six by 12 inches, and let's get rid of that two that Revit automatically added. Let's click okay. The width, let's type two space six and hit enter. That's really all we need to do here. Let's click okay. Now, what we're going to do is I'm going to go ahead and I'm going to hover over this wall, but I'm not going to actually pick it. So, if we just hover over this wall, and if we hit our tab key, now notice that the entire wall…
