- [Instructor] One of the simplest forms of annotation that you can add to any view is text. So the text tool is pretty straight forward tool. Let's take a look at some of its primary features. Now you can have any file that you want open and any view that you want open because you can add text to just about any place in Revit. I'm going to go to the annotate tab and we can get to the text tool here on the text panel or you can also find it up here on your QAT or type the TX keyboard shortcut. So I'm going to click my point onscreen somewhere where I want to place my note. And then type in what I want it to say. Now, at this point you're probably tempted to press the enter key to finish typing. But if you press enter, it just goes to the next line of the text. So I'm going to backspace.
