- [Narrator] Once you've completed the graphical portion of your detail, all you need to do is add some notes and dimensions to finish it up. So I'll start with a few basic dimensions, like here at the top of the detail you can see that my drywall components go up past the ceiling. And usually, we want to call out how much of that overlap we'd like to have there. So we're going to use the same aligned dimension tool that we would use anywhere else in Revit. So when you're in a modeling situation, you can use these dimensions to both manipulate your model and to annotate your model. It's the same in a detail. Now, you want to make sure that on the options bar it's the individual references option. We don't have any walls here, so we couldn't use the entire walls option. And likewise, because we don't have any wall geometry, these are all detail components that we see on screen. It doesn't really matter which option you have chosen here from the second drop down.
