Adding symbols

- [Instructor] In this video we're going to add a few standard symbols to our floor plan to help flesh it out. So we've already got some dimensions, some text, some tags. But sometimes you just need some generic symbols. So, symbols are used for all sorts of things. We can add north arrows, we can add bar scales. We're going to look at both of those. We can add symbols for specialized discipline specific information. And you can even create your own custom symbols if necessary. So to add a symbol we go to the annotate tab and there's a symbol button right over here, and if you look at the tool tip it actually says, places a 2D annotation drawing symbol in the current view. So, the category of the symbol tool is actually generic annotation. It's a little confusing. Over here on the properties palette is a north arrow, and then right above that is a center line. So let's place both of those just to see the process and then we'll load in another one. So here's a really simple north…
