- [Instructor] In this video, we're going to create a custom schedule view. Now, a schedule view is just a live view of your Revit model. And in a lot of ways, it's not that dissimilar than floor plans or sections. Now what exactly do I mean by that? Well, why don't we start by considering what exactly a floor plan is? A floor plan is just a horizontal slice through your model at a particular height. And then all the elements found within that slice are drawn graphically in a floor plan view. What about a section? Well, a section is kind of the same thing, except that now the slice runs vertically. And all of the elements are gathered up and drawn in a section view. So both of those views are graphical renditions of what it finds in some portion of the sliced model. What about a schedule, then? Well, the schedule doesn't slice the model.
