Adding plumbing fixtures and other components

- [Instructor] In this video we're going to add several other components to our plan layout here, so we need sometimes equipment, sometimes millwork, or casework, sometimes we need plumbing fixtures, lighting fixtures, and so on. All of those things can be added in Revit, but we typically do that with a single tool called the component tool. So if you go to the Architecture tab, you'll find this component tool here, this Place a Component, it says. And if I click on that, and I open up the list of available components, the list of items I have is a little bit eclectic. I have a desk item, I have a parking space, a tree, I've got a few trim elements. It's a pretty general, or generic list, but none of those items are actually the items that I want to place in this model. I want to place some fixtures in the toilet rooms, I wanted to place some appliances in the kitchen, and some items in the utility room. So we're going to go right to Load Family.
