Adding a plate and bolts

- [Instructor] No more in place families for this. Let's add a plate and bolt it down. By simply adding a freehand sketch we can now add a plate without having to be a Revit genius. Also, we can space bolts any way we like. So under projects, let's go to Structural Template and start a new structural model. Go to the Structure tab. Let's just draw a beam. I don't care how long or at what angle, doesn't really matter. Hit escape a couple times. Now let's set our detail level to fine. Go to the Steel tab and on the fabrication elements panel click Plate. Click rectangle. I'm not gonna get too fancy. I'm gonna pick a point right here, and I'm just gonna come down and I'm gonna pick a point right here. Hit escape a few times. Notice that there's not much we can do with it, but you do have the full complement of draw tools. Let's click finish. Let's go to a 3D view. Zoom in on it. Now remember, it has to be in fine detail level. So let's change our detail level to fine. Change our visual…
