Adding openings
- [Instructor] In this video I want to talk about opening objects. So there's a couple different kinds of openings that are available to us. And you can actually see them on the architecture tab on the opening panel. So there's actually five different types and in this video I'm going to demonstrate the shaft and the dormer. And you're welcome to explore the other three on your own. So let me zoom in here in this section that I have open and talk about what the problem is that the shaft opening is going to solve for us. If you notice here I've got an elevator, but the elevator is actually crashing right through these floor slabs. What I need to do is actually cut holes out of the floor slabs in order to allow the elevator to pass through. And there's really two approaches I can take to that. So I've got the floor slab here at level two selected and I could chose edit boundary, because the sketch is generated from a floor plan Revit will prompt me to open a floor plan to modify that…
