Adding openings
- [Instructor] There are two different ways that you can add openings to a wall in the Revit environment. One way would be to place either a door, or a window, which was nothing but an opening object, and then place it directly into the wall. The second way is to use an actual opening object, and then modify the opening object to match that area in the wall that you want your opening to be at. Let's start by placing a door opening object into one of our walls. Underneath the Architecture tab, go to door. And you'll notice that on the Type selector list, we currently only have one kind of door available to us. We really need to have a door opening object available to us. So to load that family in, we need to come up here to Load Family. Then in your list of families, go to your doors, and one of the doors that you should have available to you will be a door opening, and click on Open.
